What to expect from this course:




  • Give greater understanding of healing properties of foods, an alternative view of food intake – in order to enhance personal responsibility to health and well-being and improving life quality. “Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food.”

  • Discipline vs. Compulsiveness: to impart greater understanding of use of food as a coping mechanism.  Develop new “tools” through enhanced understanding.  To increase awareness of compulsive, irrational, irregular eating that leads to eating disorders.

  • Give greater understanding and properties of foods so one is better equipped in healing themselves, equalizing internal energy and meeting their health goals.

  • To enhance awareness of various properties of foods, preparing one to make more informed food choices and implement true health goals. In order for foods to enhance health, it is recommended that they both be nutritious and sustaining.   Whole, fresh and natural rather than refined, canned, frozen or processed are suggested.

  • To provide useful information on importance of digestion as it improves health and well – being. Digestion is the hub of excellent health; without efficient digestion, health will deteriorate and the cells of the body will suffer for need of appropriate nutrients.  If the diet is perfect quality and the digestion is sluggish or congested, it will be of little value.  A healthful diet will aid the digestive system in the long run.

  • To aid in understanding the value of gracefully handling food and graciously receiving it. Guidelines in How to Eat.  Create more healthful food habits by providing basic ideas and hints. The goal is to provide useful information in sustaining health benefits gained with increased education.  This information will be broken down into 1) food planning, 2) healthful food preparation techniques, and 3) shopping for health.

  • Understand damaging effects of destructive coping mechanisms and tolls for behavioral change. With education, people have a choice to be more responsible, live a healthful lifestyle and maintain the beneficial effect of conscious eating.

  • Food obsession and underlying tendencies.
